Repotting Pygmy Sundews and Bladderworts

Question
Hi! I recently bought the D Scorpiodes and D Nitidula x pulchella pygmy sundews and a combination of bladderworts. To give them room to grow I want to repot them, but I'm having some trouble. The pygmy sundews seem so small and fragile that I'm afraid to repot them in the way you described to repot a regular sundew on one of your podcasts. I guess I'm nervous getting the dews dirty and damaging the roots. With the baldderwort, the plant has kind of grown over the entire pot. Should I simply repot the main portion of the plant, or should I repot the entire plant along with all the roots coming outside of the soil [which would seem a bit difficult]. Any help and/or words of advice with these would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,

Aaron

Answer
Hi Aaron,

With the pygmy sundews, just use a spoon to scoop them up.  Try to go deep since they tend to have long roots.  With the bladderworts you don't even need to try and be careful.  Just repot the whole mass, or you can even take chunks out and pot them.  They tend to be very decentralized masses of plants.  They will begin to colonize the new peat moss.

Good Growing!
