Container gardening

Question
I do a lot of container gardening, and would like to do so with pitcher plants in a mini bog. What noncarnivorous plants can I use? I currently have S. Flava, Judith Hindle, Rubra, Scarlett Bell and Purpurea.
Thanks

Answer
Hi Brad,

Because of their need to be in different soil than typical plants, carnivorous plants are almost by definition container plants.  A mini-bog is just a nice big container.  Pretty much all of the North American carnivorous plants can be grown this way, with the exception of Darlingtonia.  They need to be set up a little differently. (That information can be found on our website.)  The plants you currently have are all great, easy to grow plants.  Some non-carnivorous associate plants could include things like, American Cranberry, Lingonberry, Bog Blueberry, Cinnamon Fern, Labrador Tea, and bog orchids such as Calapogon to name a few.

Good Growing!
