Sun spots?

Question
N. chaniana x veitchii
N. chaniana x veitchii
I'm beginning to notice some spots on the pitchers of my N. chaniana x veitchii, which I just purchased this weekend. On monday I used a very diluted orchid fertilizer on my plants, so I'm not sure if this is what is causing the spots. I'm hoping this is just typical sun damage, as my south facing window gets some pretty intense heat. Thanks for all the advice!

Answer
Hi Mat,

This is probably from a combination of strong sun in your window and the transition from our greenhouse to your house.  You will loose pitchers sometimes in this process, but just give it time to adapt.  It the window is really hot, possibly put some other plants around it to dapple the light some.  These are pretty tough plants and tend to grow well in the home environment.  I had one of these a few years ago that I grew under shoplights in my house (no enclosure, just a tray) and it was beautiful.

Good Growing!
