Regarding Sundew Cape

Question
Hi! Myself Neha from India.I recently got Cape sundew. It was doing great till it was attacked by Aphids.I did get late in noticing it.Meanwhile,it lost all it leaves.I removed aphids by hand & shifted it inside. Now it has been a week or so.But it hasn't formed any leaves. Is it dead? The crown is still intact. What shall i do please suggest. Is there any way i can save it or get it back to life.Looking forward to ur reply.Thanks...

Answer
Hello Neha,

If the aphids were numerous, they may have weakened the plant too much for it to recover. All you can do now is to provide the plant with plenty of water and light and keep it at a stable temperature and humidity. If it can recover, it will.

If the crown still shows green where new leaves form, it is still alive. The aphids may have damaged too many of the young leaves, so it could take the plant a few weeks to grow new leaf buds.
