Artificial light

Question
What is the SPECIFIC color spectrum you use for artificial light?

Answer
Hi Richard,

With fluorescent lights we use 6500K (Daylight) in CFL's and 4100K (Cool-White) in standard T-12 fluorescent tubes.  6500K is the preferable color temperature, but with carnivorous plants, light intensity, lumens, is most important.  You can have a desired spectrum, but if the light isn't bright enough, it will make little difference.

With our HID lights we use Metal Halide, which is 4000K.

Good Growing!
