Hydrangea

Question
I live in western NC and for the past 4 years I have had this problem on just the leaves. It blooms beautifully.

Jennifer sent me this response. The link included was not operating. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks, Lee McLean

Answer
Lee:
Hydrangea can have an annoying leaf spot that we can see often in the summertime. It is usually about 1/4 inch in diameter and is chocolate brown.  It is caused by a fungus called Cercospora. This is the only infectious leaf disease other than a virus that causes some color blotches that I am aware of.
If possible send along a photo of the problem that you are concerned about.
