Answer
Dear Tummuti, I am not sure if your jasmine has scale or gall mites.  Scale is an insect that does not move and lives under a protective shell.  Most insecticides do not work on the scale because the shell covering protects them.  You will need to get a horticultural oil and spray the plant with that.  Do not use cooking oil.  You will need to spray several times but this will kill the scale.  There is one other thing that may be wrong with your jasmine.  The jasmine could have gall mites which is becoming a serious problem in your area.  You would need to spray with NEEM for that.  NEEM is available in India, the tree actually grows there.  You can mix the oil and NEEM together and spray that way.  Spray several times about 5 days or a week apart and you should be able to control them and have your jasmine healthy again.  I hope this information helps, but write back if you need more help.  Melissa
