Some of the leaves on soem of my azalaeas have turned brown in a geographic pattern and these areas show a fine white surface on the upper part of the leaf
See images attached
What is this and what should I do?

Answer
There are mo insects or diseases involved here.  There is something environmental going on, such as too much or not enough water, or a nutrient imbalance.  The pH of the soil needs to be acidic, somewhere around 6.0 or even less.  I would take a soil sample to find out what the pH is.  They sell azalea and camellia plant food that will also help.  It may be too late for this season, but you will be prepared for next spring.  I hope this helps fix the problem.  Good Luck.
