Questioni have a tri- color beach aprox. 30 years old the last 3 years it has had a strange almost like a seed that falls from it every fall. i was told this was gull. I'm not sure, what can be done if anything the tree seems healthy otherwise.
AnswerI am not sure what you are asking. Galls are formations made by insects. The insect lays its eggs on the leaf or twig surface the secretes a chemical that causes the cells on the leaf to expand and cover the eggs. These are not a problem to the health of the tree.
Beech tree do have a nut like seed and these do drop during the year. Does not really sound like there is a health problem with your tree.
