white measels on Sago palm

Question
One of my Sago palms has developed what I can best describe as white measles on the fronds.  The bottom fronds have turned yellow but the rest remain green. What should I use the clean off the white measles? We have had a cooler than normal summer temperatures along with way above average rain.  The palms are on a screen porch with great sun light and protected from rain although my daughter may have over-watered the infected plant in May while I was out of the country.  HELP?

Answer
Hi Paula:
Can you take and send a closeup photo of these white things? These may be a type of insect (possible scale) but it would be useful for me to see them.  Try to get as close as you can to snap them. Review your image on your computer BEFORE sending to be sure it is in focus.

Thanks
Steve
