what is the black powdery mold on the trunk of my apple tree? Are my other trees in danger from it? The tree is only 3 years old.

Hi Janett, Yes, you can hurt or kill your tree if not treated.  You can use a commercial product called a fungicide.  If you want to go organic you can try a product called Atomic Grow which can cure it naturally and make it healthy again.  What ever you choose read your labels and know the product before you make a decision to the course of action.  kathy
