sour root left on citrus trees

Question
Hi Kathy--the citrus trees i got from you are doing fine, but my severely
damaged ones from last winter have died above the graft but healthy stalks
coming up from the roots.  I assume that is the sour stalk.  Should I just have
them removed and start over?  Thanks for the info, kathy grant--ps the
blueberry bushes are still alive but looking a little sad.  Is that normal for this
time of year.

Answer
Hi kathy, if the new ones are coming up above the graft it will come back true.  Cut away any that may be root stock and just keep one of the strongest limbs to re-make your tree.  The blueberrys are looking sad as they will be loosing their leaves for the winter.  Remember they like acid soil to refresh with some pine needles or pine bark mulch to keep them happy.  kathy
