beet jextreacts or sugar

Question
you mentioned table sugar (instead of beet extract) as a soil enricher/fertilzer. is there any wesites or other sources  of info  on this?

Answer
Hi angelo;
I haven't seen any websites that advise sugar.
Howard Garrett said in his newspaper article to use dry molasses, and if you couldn't get it, sugar would work.
I couldn't get dry ,molasses so I used sugar.
When I could get dry molasses, I used it, but I thought the results were better with the sugar, so I went back to that.
I see some that advise beer, and things like that, but do you know how much sugar there is in beer?
It is because of the sugar in those things. as you know, sugar beets are a prominent source of sugar, but if you use the sugar, you use the pure form. You would have to use more of the beet extract, and i suspect it would cost more, so whay bother with that.
You can pick up the sugar at the store when you shop for groceries, and broadcast it by hand and be done with it.
The results you get should be convincing enough.
