dog sturdy grass


Question
What grass holds up best to dog urine, or will regenerate itself after being urinated on?  And what grass might be tough enough against my deaf dalmation who pounces and scratches/digs at shadows for fun? Or is there a type of wire mesh or fencing material that would discourage/ eliminate digging that could also be walked on without hazard of tripping or stepping on errant wires?  I love our small lawn that is destroyed and can't think of any grass solutions, I have racked my brain. I don't want cement, deck, or artificial turf.  HELP !!!!!   Thanks.  Jan

Answer
No grass will hold up to urine well because the salt concentration will kill the roots. You can try to water the spots where the dogs go frequently to dilute the concentration, or train the dog to go outside the lawn.
