NORFOLK PINE

Question
I've got a Norfolk Pine that I just cannot get to grow much.  I'm not sure how to bring it back to life.  Do you have any good tips on how I can revive this one?
Thanks,
Sherry

Answer
Hi Sherry;
Could our soil be too tight?
Clay soil is hard for tender roots to push through.
Also, don't give too muchh food for growth.
Atree will only grow in proportion to it's root system, so if it gets too much food for growth, it will actually slow it down, because more will go to growth and less to roots.
Evergreens like acid soil, so you could add a little acid and see if that picks it up some.
You may be expecting too much results too soon.
Trees and shrubs need to be in the ground for a couple of years before they atart to really take off.
The first couple of years, they are growing more root system. They usually don't show much until the third year.
