grass cutting

Question
i live in Northwest Ohio and we have had and are continuing to have quite a bit of rain.

i know that grass should 1)kept at about 3" and 2) not more than a 1/3 should be cut off at a time

But so far I can't do this  unless it is ok to cut it   about every other day.  The lawn is mostly bluegrass

What do you suggest?  Thanks

Answer
Hi John,

This is an easy one.  Just do the best you can!  I know the 1/3 rule, and it is a good one, BUT the grass can certainly survive cuttings that don't fit the rule.

If the grass is outgrowing the pace of your mowing, then just mow it when you can. even if that means you're not following the 1/3 rule to the tee.

You'll be fine, and so will your lawn.
