Bermuda Grass Lawns

Question
I have a lawn of Bermuda grass. In the summer it looks pretty good, but in the offseason it is UGLY! I live in Nags Head, North Carolina (on the coast)
Question:
Should I overseed the lawn in the spring?
If so, when would that be done?
Is there anything that can be done to help maintain a green lawn in the fall, winter and spring? (the Bermuda seems to have gone dormant in early October)

Answer
Hi Joseph,

You live in the transition zone, which presents exactly the problem you've outlined above. Don't overseed in the Spring. Instead, you need to overseed in the fall with Perennial Ryegrass.

I've pasted a link below to a VERY similar question I answered a while back on my own website. If you watch the video clip, it will explain exactly what you need to be doing as well.

Good luck!
