red apple ground cover

Question
some of my resent plantings of red apple are doing real well very green and
moist but other plantings look kind of sick yellow in color just not well they get
the same water anything you can tell me thanks

Answer
Hello Paul

This is a very common problem and it can be caused by many factors. However, the basic reason why this happens is the plant's inability to absorb Nitrogen, the main constituent of chlorophypl. This can be caused by over-watering, pH fluctuations or drought.

Check that you are not over-watering the sections that have yellowing leaves and try treating them with a liquid fertiliser that contains iron.

This is what's happening: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlorosis

Good luck
