Question -
I have one these beautiful plants in my front garden. I want to know what I have to do to prepare it for the Spring Season with the hopes that it will come to life and flower in June, July and rest of the summer. Toronto's summers are quite warm and hopefully there will be ample sunshine this year. Right now all that is left from last year is this long stem that has been exposed all winter.
Answer -
Is your location Toronto,Canada?

Yes I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada

Answer
Howard,
My expertise is in low maintenance perennials, bulbs and design. I live in western Kentucky in the US. Our climate is vastly different so I don't want to give you the wrong advice about your plant that you like so much.I would feel badly if I gave you the wrong advice. If it was ledt out all winter and it is a tender annual,I don't think the cahnces are good for it to come back unless you protected it over winter. Here are some sites to go to that will have many more solutions on any type of plant you can think of:
Here are some great sources to look at on the web:White Flower Farm,Musser Forests,Wayside Gardens, Shady Oaks Nursery,Walters Perennials(or Gardens),Jackson & Perkins,Khelm's Song Sparrow Perennial Farm,Van Bourgondien Bulbs,Van Dyck's Bulbs,Brent & Becky's Bulbs,Plants by Mail,Gardener's Supply Co.,Bluestone Perennials,Sheperds Seeds,Applewood seed Co.,Ball Seed Co.,Genesis Seeds,Ltd.(www.genesisseeds.com),Kieft Seed Co. USA(www.kieftseeds.com),Mountain Valley Seed,Inc.(www.mvseeds.com)
