Calculating Soil for raised beds

Question
We have constructed three raised beds.
They measure 6' x 4'x l'.
How much soil in yards do we need for each bed?
Tried to figure it but couldn't.  Thanks.

Answer
6 x 4 x 1 = 24 cubic feet.  This is divided by 27, to get cubic yards, or .88 c.y. per bed, therefore, if you have 3 beds, the total yardage is .88 x 3 = 2.67 yards of soil required.

As they rarely sell 1/3rd of a yard of topsoil in bulk and you'll lose some because of settling, just order up 3 yards, and call it good.

Then again, if you are buying this soil in 2-cubic foot bags (not the cheapest method!), it would work out to 36 bags, exactly.

Enjoy your new raised beds! -Marc
