Container veg garden coming indoors

Question
hi there, ive had to drag my whole container garden in from my balcony today
because it started snowing!! I live in toronto canada and im now wondering
which of my plants are worth trying to continue to cultivate throughout the
winter, and which plants i should harvest.
I have green onions, chives, broccoli, carrotts, beets, lavender, parsely, dill,
peppers that never produced fruit and some lettuce heads.. There are also
two trees that grew in my squash containers, dont know where they came
from or what they are yet.

Will any of these plants survive indoors ? Or should i harvest the lot and
save the soil for next year?? Thank you !!

Answer
Lauren, except for the lettuce, which requires low light, none of the others will produce anything worth the effort. You can grow herbs indoors next to a southeast window, so you can pot up some of the parsley and dill. But once again, the harvest will be minimal.

I would save the soil for next year, and replant in early spring.

Have a great day.

Mike
