Malathion for outdoor container pots

Question
I sprayed Malathion on my plants. Nine plants are Basil seedlings, one is and onion, and one is a bamboo plant. After I sprayed it, all my Basil seedlings died, and some of the leaves on the bamboo plant have turned white. Did I forget to read the warning label on the Malathion?

Answer
READ THE LABEL!! Malathion is a poison. You are lucky the basil died. You would have been poisoned if you ate it. Same with the onion. Don't eat it, don't get it on your skin, don't breathe it. It should be handled with EXTREME care. Make sure it is stored away from kids and pets.
Never work with a poison without reading all of the information about it. It could kill you, or your family.

Wash the bamboo to remove the poison. Bamboo normally doesn't need to be protected from insects. It has a built in protection. You will need to cut the white leaves off.

I can not over emphasize how important it is to be careful with the poisons you put on your plants. Especially if you plan to eat them.
