Grape-leaf anemone (Anemone tomentosa 'Robustissima') ah-NEM-oh-nee toe-men-TOE-sah Genus:  Anemone This anemone grows 24 to 32 inches tall with single, light violet-pink flowers. It's an extremely robust and vigorous plant that is best suited to naturalizing. It will overwhelm other plants and may become a nuisance in a bed. Noteworthy Characteristics:  Can be weedy or invasive. Care:  Moist, fertile, humusy soil in sun or partial shade. May need support. Propagation: 

 Divide in early spring or after flowering; pot up for a year and replant in spring. Take root cuttings in spring. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame when ripe, but germination may be erratic and lengthy.

Problems: 

 Caterpillars, slugs, flea beetles. Synchytrium leaf gall, downy mildew, leaf and stem smut, Septoria leaf spot, powdery mildew, and rust are all very common to Anemones, and viruses may also occur.
