TIP! In a place that’s dark, pre-soak the seeds. Put a few seeds in a small container and fill it near to the top with water.

Put sod down the right way. Before you lay the sod, the soil has to be prepared. Remove weeds and break your soil until all the clumps are gone. Lightly, but firmly pack the soil down, and make sure that it is flat. The soil should be adequately moistened. Then lay the sod in staggered rows so the joints are offset. Even out the surface of the sod by firming it down flat, filling any available gaps with a handful of dirt. Sod must be watered every day for about two weeks, and then it will have rooted and be completely ready to be walked on.

TIP! Try growing some cat grass or wheat grass in the vicinity of the plants that your cat likes to eat. Another option is to place offensively smelling objects on the topsoil near and around the plants you want to protect.

So you don’t shock the plants, you should gradually get them use to a change in the temperature and conditions. Leave them outside in sunlight for a couple of hours on the initial day. As you continue the first week of the project, gradually extend the duration of sun exposure. Finally, after about a week, you should be able to move them outside and leave them there for the summer.
