Let Aquaponics Breed You Organic Fish At Home And Get Almost Free Vegatables Every Day.

Aquaponics is one of the most environment friendly ways to grow vegetables and fish. it is easy without any hassle. Finding harmony in the system is not hard if you know how Aquapoinics work. The key component is that fish waste is converted to nutrition to feed the plants.

As you circulate water within an aquaponics system, the plants are able to clean the water, and the movement of the water itself allows the water to become aerated or oxygenated.

Not much is lost in an Aquaponic system, even the fish food that is left in the tank and not eaten by the fish is used by the plants as nutrition.

Why choose aquaponics?

If you really wanted to grow and breed magnificent tilapia or some other freshwater beauty, why in the world would you turn to a hybrid method that combines traditional aquaculture and hydroponics? First, let’s look at what happens when you run a conventional aquaculture setup.

With an ordinary aquaculture setup you waste water, around 10 percent of the systems water has to be changed to keep it clean enough for the fish to survive, the more fish you have the more toxins builds up in the water

With a 2000 liter aquaculture setup you need to change 200 liters of water every day.

Every 7 days you waste 1400 liters and every 30 days you lose about 6000 liters of precious water. And thats only to keep the water so clean that you dont kill your fish.

When you have decided on what you want to accomplish, you need a blueprint of an aquaponicsystem. A decent system with around 3000 liters can be taken care of by one or two individuals. The two most important parts are the fishtank and the grow beds.

In principle, the fish tanks should always be lower than the grow beds (where the plants are placed) so that water can easily drain from the grow beds toward the fish tank. A water pump regularly circulates a fixed amount of water so the plants in the grow beds can clean up the water before it is drained back into the fish tank.
