What is Organic Indoor Gardening?

Organic indoor gardening is gardening indoors, without the use of any pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Every product that is used in organic indoor gardening is all natural and safe. There are many benefits then that are offered from organic indoor gardening, especially when it comes to fruits and vegetables.

With organic indoor vegetable gardening in particular, you can grow and eat or sell vegetables knowing that you are getting more nutrition and not any of the harmful chemicals that are used in regular gardening.

How to Get Started

There are really only a few things that you are going to need if you want to get started organic indoor gardening. Of course you are going to need to supply yourself with the necessary tools, and although there are literally hundreds upon hundreds to choose from, there are really only a few tools in particular that are considered as being the basic tools and which you will absolutely have to get.

One is the shovel. Shovels can be used for a number of different jobs, and are one of the backbone tools of gardening. You can use a shovel for mixing soil, spreading compost and mulch, digging holes for trees and shrubs, transplanting, cutting sod, forming garden borders, and more.

Shoves have a huge variety of uses both in the yard and garden, and are available in quite a few different designs. You will want to get a spade shovel and flat shovel if you are gardening organically, and then the rest are really all personal preference.

Another tool that is a must have for organic indoor gardening is the power tiller. This will be a handy tool in more ways than one, and can be used for everything from mixing compost into the soil to breaking up tough soil and tilling garden soil.

There are many other tools as well that you may want to include here, and it really all depends on the types of plants that you are going to be working with and how into gardening you want to get. For instance if you are only going to be able to devote a small portion of your time to your gardening, there is really no point in you heading out and spending a fortune on tons of different gardening tools when you will probably not end up even using most of them.

Also, no matter which specific tools you get it is crucial that you take proper care of them if you want them to last.
