You want to make sure that they are going to be getting plenty of sunlight otherwise they are not going to strive.

You may even need to get grow lights for your plants during the colder, winter months, when there is sparse sunlight available.

Another important tip for growing your indoor herb garden is to use a soilless potting mix because this will help you to avoid soil burn diseases. Also, you want to be sure that the mix is very light so that it will be well draining. This is important, otherwise your plants can end up drowning when they are watered, so proper drainage in the soil is going to be vital to your plants life.
