Choosing The Heavy Duty Strimmer For Your Landscaping Work

Brush cutters are used to cut and clear grass, shrubs, bushes, weeds, brambles and woody stems, and depending on the size and power of the machine it can make grass cutting an easy task for gardeners, professional landscapers and people working in horticulture and forest maintenance. A Heavy duty Strimmer is also called a brush cutter and is powered by a petrol engine or using a plug-in power source nearby. Using electric to power your strimmer may restrict movement for the user, hence petrol strimmers are the most widely used for grass cutting.
A brush cutter or Heavy duty Strimmer is made of three important parts and they are the shaft, cutting head and the power source such as a petrol engine. The size, shape and the capability of the parts can vary with choice and use and it is for the user to choose wisely when selecting a brush cutter. A shaft can be in different designs such as a bent shaft, loop, straight or bike handles. The straight shafts are the most common as they can be controlled easily by bearing more weight. When a brush cutter works it produces a lot of noise and accompanies it with vibration that the user has to bear on the handle.
There are different cutting heads that can be used with a Grass strimmer, and they are nylon string cutters, metal blades and plastic blades. Each of these heads has their own applications and uses and can vary in effectiveness when encountering different grass and terrain. A metal blade though powerful could be dangerous to work with as it can cause incidents if not handled properly. They are however great in clearing the toughest grass, but may prove to be less economical as they would require different heads in size and shape to cut different types of brush and debris. A Heavy duty Strimmer would generally use metal blades as they are found to be high effective in cutting weeds, bushes, brambles and small tree stems.
Nylon strings and plastic blades fall on the softer side as they are good for cutting soft grass and weeds and will also need frequent line and head changes as they are fast to break or wear. The choice of brush cutters in size, shape and capacity is vast and your choice would depend on the type of brush you want to cut and the terrain where you would use the application.
