Wildflower planting...

Question
Hello!
In the spring I'm going to plant wildflowers on a hill in the front of my house, right now the hill is all grass.
Question: Should I kill the grass first with Round-up spray or should I roto-till the area several times to get rid of the grass?
Also, do you know any good websites that discuss wildflowers?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff Taylor
West Michigan

Answer
hi,  I would use a grass and weed killer now in the fall so in the spring you can plant seed.  i would also roto till in some moo pooh and some peat.  applying weed killer in the spring is not good caus you have to wait about 6 weeks to plant seeds.as for a website.  try keyword wildflowers see if you get anywhere. or just flowers.  good luck to you.
