Peace Lily / Spathiphyllum / Flame Plant

Question
I have recently got a peace lily, but I am not sure how to care for it. How much water, sunlight and plant food does it need?  Thanks sooo much!

Answer
Dear Denise,
The expert whom you first sent this question to should not have delayed the answer this long because it is an easy answer so... to make up for it I will give even more detail in hope you will give me a good rating and nominate me for Volunteer of the month. Here are you details about your Spathiphyllum: This evergreen perennial prefers a shady, warm and humid environment. It will bloom readily indoors if you provide adequate humidity. The blossom of Spathiphyllum wallisii, will reach about 9 inches (23 cm). This plant requires a large pot, but it should be kept potbound. Repot, if necessary, in February or March. Put a layer of gravel or broken pieces of pottery in the bottom of the pot. Roots may appear above the surface of the soil. They should be covered with a layer of sphagnum moss which is kept damp or reported. Soil should NEVER dry out. Watch for mealy bugs, red spiders, scale, and white flies. Do not let insecticide get on flowers. Roots are tender and can be burned by fertilizer. Too much sun can scorch the leaves. The plant is easily propagated by division or from seed.

Basics:

Sunlight: Some light but not direct sun. Will not do well under artificial light.

Water: Water regularly and fairly freely in the growing period. Water a little less in the winter. Needs good drainage.

Humidity: High

Fertilizer: Fertilize every two weeks from February and August with a WEAK solution of mild liquid fertilizer.

Please, forgive out network for the inconvenience
