Banana plant with sticky leaves

Question
My banana plant was so healthy then I noted that one of my other plants had white stuff all over its leaves and dying. Not too much longer after that my banana plant started getting sticky leaves and wilting and not growing any new leaves like it used to be doing (It used to get a new leaf in every week).

Not sure what to do it seems sick what can I do to make it better?

Answer
Hi Eric, sounds like its being attacked by White Fly Larvae, is it like bits of cotton badding? without seeing it makes it tough for me to be sure; Get some Horticultural Oil (Ultra-fine...Organocide...Soluble Oil spray..to mention a few..) and apply it late afternoon (after the heat of day, because its an oil based product and could burn the leaves) let it work over night and then wash it off with your hose in the morning with the dead insects. Be sure to follow the directions on the product and again, let it work over night to kill the insects and wash it off before the heat of the next day....good luck Nick
