Question
Hello....I am wondering what kind of med size shade tree to plant in my front yard to block the sun during the  hot Sacramento summers.
My criteria is that they not attract bees also not deciduous and MOST IMPORTANT  not have an invasive root system. The tree I had before ruined the cement walkway so please nothing invasive.  Maybe unusual and beautiful!!!!!

Trees are really outside my area of expertise, so I have done some researching for you and come up with a couple of websites which you may find useful -

fast-growing-trees.com - this is a company in California, but does not seem to deal with specifically evergreen trees, unless they are conifers (and I'm guessing a conifer is not what you're after).

moonvalleynursery.com - this is a company which seems to be in Arizona (a long way from you?), but it does list quite a variety of evergreen trees, which (if any appeal to you) you might be able to source nearer home.  Just one thing  - on this site there is a tree listed which you really must avoid - the Sumac - it sends out suckers at an alarming rate!!
