Multiple Peace Lily problems

Question
Hello...

My Peace Lily was doing great over the first few months that I bought it.  I have it since about February.

In the past month or so it's had lots of problems.

First the leaves started to turn yellow... a leaf here or there... nothing major.

The all of the tips of the leaves turned brown.

Throughout all of this it was still blooming with flowers and new leaves.

Now it has stopped blooming altogether and some of the leaves are still exhibiting the above problems.  Some of the leaves that were starting to grow have just stalled and have not opened.

I had given it some plant fertilizer (those little sticks) and I moved it once the leaves started getting funky.  I thought it may have needed more light so I moved it near a window but just off to the side of the window so that the light wouldn't be direct.

I live in the city and have used tap water and filtered water to water the plant.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I obviously must have messed up this poor plant. :(

Answer
Hi Sophie,

I need some additional information.

Have you repotted your peace lily? What size pot is it in now?

Does the pot have drainage holes?

How far from the window was it before you moved it closer to the window?

Do any of the new leaves have brown or yellow tips before they open?

How do you decide when to water and how much do you give it?

If you can email a photo to me at [email protected], that would help answer some of my questions.

I look forward to your reply.

Regards,
Will Creed
