Pothos-Part 2

Question

Pothos-after
Happy New Year!  Darlene, when I returned to work fortunately my pothos was not dead, but she was indeed in terrible shape.  I gave her a lot of water as you suggested, and guess what?  She is back to normal and beautiful as ever (see pic), and is also growing another leaf.  I did not put her back in the window.  Darlene, as I explained before, I don't water her much because of the pot (no drain holes), so now, how will I know if I've over-watered?

Answer
Tamika,

You need to repot her into a pot with a drainage hole and a drain tray under it so that is not a problem!!!! You also need to put her back in the window, she loves the sun and she will eep her beautiful variegation if she is in the window. As long as you are going to be at work continue watering her with no more than a cup of water. pic up some bamboo skewers that will reach the bottom of the pot at the grocery store. Insert one in the soil going all the way to the bottom of the pot. Pull it out daily. If it is wet do not water the plant. If it is dry put it back and wait one more day then water the plant. Repotting it would be your best bet though. Good luck.

Darlene
