pothos plant

Question
Hi My name is Latisha Houston and i love plants but have had a hard time in the past trying to one alive. I just recently purchase a Golden pothos and I have had it for about a month now and it is doing very well. Just the other day one of my friends suggested that I repot it in a bigger pot because it was out growing the one it was purchase in. I listen to her because she is good with plants and flower and own a lot of them. Happy to say the plant is still doing good but i was wondering is it time to give it some fertilizer since i only repot it with soil. I worry if i do something different it will start to die on me and did I repot it to early even if she suggested it.

Actually a Pothos is a good choice to start learning how to care of indoor houseplants.
Pothos don't do well in direct sunlight(Morninig sun exposure is usually OK). They prefer a bright room or artificial light. The watering care is similar for most plants (excluding Orchids, cacti and a few other special type plants). Water your plant based on how much it weighs when thoroughly watered VS when they are ready to be watered again. Plants die from too frequent waterings, not from how much water you give them at one time. Pick the pot up and feel how heavy it is after watering it thoroughly. Don't water it again until it feels considerably lighter and the top of the soil is light in color. Depending on plant types, sunlight exposure and pot size plants will need water at many different rates from once a day to once a month or more.
Get to a local garden center and buy a good indoor plant fertilizer (like Miracle Grow - indoor or what ever they recommend)...read the dorections...Plants do need to be fertilized every month or so to stay healthy...
Good luck
