Getting plants out of plastic boxes

Question
I bought a very small Ping at Lowes.  It is encased in a plastic box. I am attempting to aclimate the Carnivores to my conditions.  I grow orchids and my humidity runs from 60 to 80%  The other plants are doing well with their adjustment.  The other four are two North American Pitcher Plants and two Lance Leaf Droseras.  The Ping droops every time I take the lid off.  It perks back up as soon as the lid is placed back on, but I can't seem to make any headway with it.  Also, the lower leaf tips have brown edges.  It is currently growing in spagnum moss, the type I use for orchid mounts.  Any suggestions of ways to help this little guy will be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi Nancy,

Very likely this plant is Pinguicula primuliflora.  Because of the weakening effect the cube has on the leaves it will be best to cut the leaves off.  Remove all of them except the very crown of the plant where new ones are growing.  This will minimize transpiration and allow the plant to grow newer, healthier leaves.  Your ambient humidity in your orchid growing area is more than adequate.

P. primuliflora is a bit of a fussy customer anyway.  Even with the best effort they can be difficult to pull through. :(

Good Growing!
