"Hey guys Jason from AZ here.  Would you please take a look at the pic here and let me know your thoughts. This is my first year of these coming out of dormancy. As you see the teeth are not formed well. I check the plant every day and there are no signs of pests. Any way the plant is growing well. Thanks again."

Yeah, that's a pretty interesting leaf.  I'd be interested to see if the second leaf develops that way, too.  Viruses could cause that type of deformation.  The virus might be transferred by a pest, such as aphids.  The virus doesn't harm the plant, but you should see if it affects additional new growth.  If so, it may affect how the plant captures insects, which could potentially weaken it from malnutrition.
