Powdery Mildew Treatment

Question
I've been using baking soda to treat houseplants with powdery mildew and was wondering if I can use that on my CP also?  Thanks much!

Karla

Answer
I advise against using baking soda.  Carnivorous plants need an acidic environment.  Baking soda is alkaline.  To treat powdery mildew, use Neem or a sulfur-based fungicide.  Both are safe to use on carnivorous plants.  Watch our video podcast on fungicides for more information.
