QUESTION: Hello again :)

Is normal that leaves from this ginormous dionaea twisted like you can see in the picture?  Just asking if theres any problem correct before is too late.

And how can I do to kill all the fuc&*% ants are everywhere and I hate them. It can bring infection to my plants I guess...

My plants are in a terrarium 14 hours of light humidity 88% and heat are 79f to 90 at night goes 68f

And again sorry my english.

ANSWER: Hi Gabriel,

I don't see any evidence of pests, and the traps are not deformed, but look carefully with a hand lens to see if you can see any little bugs.  If you have ants, they can bring in aphids.  Most insecticides will kill aphids pretty easily.

For ants, bait for them.  Here's an example of a product that should work well:  http://www.homedepot.com/p/Terro-Ant-Killer-ll-Liquid-Baits-6-Pack-300/100595879

QUESTION: Jeff hey hi

I bought this product . Bayer

Let me know if I can use for my carnivorous plants.

Bless and thanks ;)

Answer
Hi Gabriel,

That product should be fine.  What you want to stay away from is insecticidal soaps.  They damage small plants.  Test it on one plant first, wait a couple days, and if you see no problems, spray away!  The ingredients are Pyrethrins and sulfur, and we use those all the time with no issues, but sometimes companies have other ingredients, such as wetting agents, that can be problematic that are not listed on the label.  We have not used this exact product, so test it first before spraying everything.
