re: Ash Tree

Question
I have an Ash Tree that is about 8 years old.  At the end of last year I found clusters of what looked like cauliflower growing throughout the tree.  My husband said that he would treat it but it needed to go dormant first.  I'm not sure what was used to treat it but he sprayed it with something.  Now that the tree is in full bloom this year I see the clusters have returned.  I am also concerned about the bark.  The bark is peeling off in strips.  I want my tree to be healthy.  Can you please give me an idea of what may be wrong with it and how to treat it.  I cant even imagine not having it.  Thank you  Roberta

Answer
Roberta:
Can you send me a picture of these clusters for me to look at? Try to take a closeup shot and send. Be sure to review your image on your computer first- to be sure it is in focus before you send.  Since this system apparantly allows one photo per message, you may consider sending a shot of the peeling bark in another separate message.

Thank You

Steve
