Cedar Bark Mulch

Question
I found some information that Cedar Bark Mulch is conducive to eliminating termites.  It said the small Cedar Bark is the best to use.  However when I called the local supplier they seemed to be confused about the "large" and "small Cedar Bark.  Can you clarify?

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Claudia;
Sure can.
The small is cedar bark mulch, and the large is decorative cedar bark. It is in big chunks to dress up your flower beds etc.
Hm, funny they wouldn't have known to tell you that.
Maybe go to another nursery.
I use cedar bark mulch for repelling termites.
I scatter it all over my yard. It doesn't harm the lawm mower because it is such small , nd it repels fleas and ticks, and I have dogs.
When it is time for termites to swarm, I put a trail of it, about an inch high and three or four inches wide, all around the foundation of my home.
I have been doing that for 40 years in this house, and never have had a termite, except for the ones we had and didn't know about when we bought it.
Just ask for cedar bark mulch.
Charlotte
