Where to buy boulders for Japanese garden

Question
Hi again, and thank you for answering so quickly,

Here in the delta we just don't have rocks, so talking to local developers won't help.

And I guess shipping from New York would be too pricey.

What I am hoping for is a list of suppliers, maybe from Ala, Tenn, Texas, Arkansas regions. Those  states would be withing driving distance and I could pick out the stones I want.

But I'm not sure where the black & grey rock naturally occur.

Thanks again,
Susan

Answer
Hi!

I'm sorry that I can't provide you with a list of suppliers.
Try to get in touch with builders from those states.
They would at least tell you if such rocks are present.

Maybe you could try to find stone quarries that would deal with granite and basalt, or any other black and grey rocks.
I wouldn't buy stones from quarries because they would look "young", but, at least, you would know where they are.
Then you get in touch with  builders from the area.

Good luck!
