Question
What is the best way to grow bell peppers in a container?

Answer
Best varieties are space-saving varieties such as Canape,Gypsy Hybrid, Italian Sweet, Pepper Pot, or any hot pepper variety. Full sun, warm temperatures, and lots of water during fruit set are important. Peppers do not grow well in a greenhouse. They need at least 6 hours of sun a day. They will not tolerate any frost. Use a container that is at least 12 inches deep. Buy the best soil you can find. Wait three weeks after planting, then feed light feedings monthly. Spraying with liquid seaweed two or three times during the growing season, to give them an extra boost. If the temperture is over 90 degrees, don't fertilize. Check the plants daily, for any insect or disease problems.
