We are already working on plans for next year’s plant selections and we want your input.

Researching plants, learning about new trends in gardening, meeting with growers and vendors, reviewing sales figures… all of these are important parts of the process of choosing what plants will be available in the garden center next season.  But one of the most important parts of this process is considering the many requests and ideas that  come from our member/owners and customers.  We want to hear from you.  What have you been looking for that you have not been able to find – either at Urban Roots or anywhere else?  What plants are you growing and loving that you think we should know about and try to find to share with other Buffalo gardeners?

Over the last 5 years, we have substantially and consistently improved the selection of plants that we offer:

• more perennials – both new hybrids, and old-fashioned favorites;
• more native plants, including perennials, shrubs, vines, and trees;
• more edibles, including heirlooms, fruit trees and shrubs, veggies, herbs and seeds
• more showy, beautiful and unusual annuals and tender perennials to brighten your gardens and containers and inspire your creativity as a gardener

As pleased and proud as we are of this progress, we know that this is a process that we must continue and keep up year in and year out.  Urban Roots is a growing thing, and we need your help to keep the growing going!
