Garden Landscaping – Subtle Additions To The Garden Lesson 104

How can I enhance a garden without major landscaping changes? How can I bring more colour into the garden without rearranging the status quo? There are so many ideas on the internet for plant dividers, hydroponic constructions, pot plant arranging, hanging planters and many others.

Plant dividers, strategically placed, can exploit and enhance vast areas of lawn, or compound small gardens. These are usually two, three or four pole constructions, with multiple plant boxes fixed at staggered heights, planted with flowers. These are wonderful enhancers, as you can plant seasonal flowers giving a show of colour all year round. Other types are mere vertical gardens, poles with an expanded lattice fixed between them, with a narrow flowerbed beneath, planted with creepers. These make magnificent structures to obscure parts of the garden that spoils certain views i.e. a garden shed or rear gate entry. If placed in staggers and oblique to an exterior view from the house, will become a show of colour enhancing the garden.

Hydroponic constructions, with interlinking piping, placed in the back yard, can become vegetable gardens. Small gardens, can have their own vegetables as well as beautifying an area. Runner beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage and the like have a certain appearance not uneasy on the eye, and at the same time providing fresh veggies for use. Long single layers of pipes, placed on boundary walls in small gardens, planted with flowers another idea. Strawberries work well in these type constructions, as they do in plant dividers, supplying lovely fresh fruit that has not lain in soil. The combinations of plants grown in these dividers for beauty and gain are limitless, all that's needed, an imagination.

Pots for planting, placed either on paving blocks or directly on top of grass, another garden enhancement. Combinations of pots of differing heights, painted or glazed with beautiful colours, can become a feature in themselves. Planted with shrubs, or flowers that cascade down the sides, a feature. Nursery owners and managers will aid with recommended plants for the pots, being informative as to the expected growth tendencies. Rows of small pots are able to produce wonderful characteristics of enhancement for the garden. Window box type pots, staggered and balanced on top of each other, when planted with flowers that will creep downwards, magnificent. There are so many possibilities and combinations available to the gardener, and I have always found nursery owners more than willing to aid with ideas, after all it is a sale for themselves.

Hanging planters or hanging bags, not only good for the likes of strawberries, but use the same and plant pansies or similar flowers in the holes provided. Hang them from trees, or plant a singe pole with multiple extended hangers at various heights. These combinations are able to convert a pole into what looks like a flowered tree. A pole with four or five hanging plant bags full of strawberries give a lovely show. Hanging baskets of plants, attached to poles will also result in a magnificent shows. Stagger the heights and hang the pots in dense combinations, this will give a show of simply plants, completely concealing the pole.

The possibilities, many and various, obtaining astounding results, I have found that there are so many people with wonderful ideas, provided, to share on the internet. Photos of these ideas, all over the internet, some even with construction plans and material lists to aid in the construction. I found, what I consider, the best strawberry planter ever designed, on the internet, which would, not only supply a multitude of clean fruit, but would become a magnificent feature in the garden.

So many ideas, and so little a garden I have for them.
