How To Fix The Most Common Problems With Your Lawn

So why are there so many lawn care problems that cause us so much grief? Is there much we can do to stop or prevent this from happening to our precious green space?

So what can cause some of these issues? Well, the weather can play a huge part in how your lawn grows and looks. Weather can be very hot and dry which obviously may not be good for it. Weather can also be too cold and slow down growth. Also strangely enough at times it can be too wet , causing diseases and mould which is detrimental to the health of your lawn.

If weather was not enough there is still many more things out there that can affect how good your lawn looks. If your lawn is on the weak side it is susceptible to weeds. These weeds can come from the existing soil base, topsoil you add to your lawn to top dress, or something as simple as weeds spores blown around in the wind, landing on your lawn and they take root.

It is hard to stop this type of turf care issue as you don't notice the weeds until after they have taken root in your lawn.

Next there are pests that infiltrate and once there can be next to impossible to get rid of. Some of the worst culprits are grubs and Japanese beetles. There are only a few means to get rid of them and are only effective at certain times of the year, making it doubly difficult to kill these SOB's.

Lets' not forget man's best friend, the dog. Dogs can create lawn care issues just by simply going to the bathroom in your yard. And the sex of your animal can determine the severity of some of these issues as well. Yes your pets urine can burn and permanently damage your live lawnscape should it go in the same area all the time and female pee is more damaging than males.

Who knew that special pet of yours would affect the lawn that you love so much as well? You will have to make changes to accommodate both of those things in your life.
