Cheers to a Good Nights Sleep - 6 Point Checklist for That Perfect Bed

Wondering how the five star hotel beds are so darn comfortable and how you can make your own bed so feathery soft? Then you need to know how to pick the right bed. With so many options available in bedding, it can be quite tricky to pick the one that fits your need. Luxurious beds are not just for the movies, you can use them for other purposes as well. All you need to do is apply these simple tips.

Know the Room Space

When looking at a room, you need to know which bed would fit the best - king size or queen size. A king size bed measures anywhere between 76 inches to 80 inches, whereas a queen size bed measures only 60 to 80 inches. Now, pick the bed depending on the general dimension of your room. After placing the bed, the room should have enough space for opening drawers and closet doors comfortably.

Pick a Firm Mattress

The soft mattresses do not necessarily entail the best of comfort. If anything, too soft a mattress is bad for your health. When you sleep on a soft mattress, it sinks right in, which not only hampers your blood flow, but also affects your spine. A firm mattress, on the other hand, provides just the right amount of support to your spine, helping you sleep better. So, whatever you do, make sure to pick the mattress that suits your body type.

Budget

If you are trying to adhere to a tight budget then the king size bed is not for you. It is not only significantly expensive than the queen size bed, but its frames and mattress can further add up to the cost. To top it off, beddings for a larger bed are never really well designed. So, for people on a budget, the queen size bed makes more sense.

Sleeping Position

It is no secret that people tend to sleep better when they have enough room to stretch. For two people, a king size bed makes more sense as compared to a queen size bed, since each individual has eight inches of extra sleeping space. You can comfortably sleep without being overly annoyed about your partner's flaying arms.

Pick the Right Cushion

Your search for the right bed is not complete without finding the right cushion. There are three types of filling for your pillow - malleable goose down, feather filling and foam pillow. A foam pillow will retain its shape and stay firm throughout the night. A feather pillow will squish down the moment your head touches it, giving you the softest cushion. Malleable goose down, on the other hand, keeps you toasty throughout the cold night. Whatever you do, make sure that the cushion you pick is hypo-allergenic for protection against allergies.

Comfort

Most important thing to look for when buying a bed is comfort. The bed should ideally conform to your body shape, should be comfortably soft yet firm enough to support your body. Until and unless, the bed you pick does not feel comfortable, you won't be getting any sleep on it.

For any doubt don't hesitate to ask an expert.
