PEST CONTROL IN FRISCO TX: GET READY FOR SUMMER HOUSE PESTS

Pest Control Frisco TXWith summer coming, it's easy to start worrying about outdoor pest control in Frisco TX. Bees, wasps, fire ants, fleas and mosquitoes will be everywhere. But it's important to remember that the indoor pest problems increase exponentially during the summer. Some pests are already living inside our homes and some head inside to escape the heat. And as much as these bugs are normal to have in some numbers inside our homes, many can do damage to structures and some can even carry diseases.

Ants are everywhere in North Texas. Fire ant, crazy ant, carpenter ant and pharaoh ant activity can range anywhere from simply annoying to destructive. Fire ants and crazy ants, though normally found outdoors, can also nest inside walls and inside air conditioners. Inside air conditioners and other appliances, both kinds of ants can cause shorts that either cause damage to the appliance (in the case of air conditioners) or start fires. Pharaoh ants build nests inside walls, behind baseboards and folds of clothes - anywhere they will be undisturbed. They look for any sweet or greasy food sources in your home. Carpenter ants, like termites, eat the wood members of your home. They are a major cause of structural damage in Texas.

Cockroaches account for a significant number of calls for pest control in Frisco TX. In fact, North Texas is home to more than one variety; but the most common are the American and German roaches. In addition to their association with the spread of diseases like E. coli and Salmonella, their cast-off skin and excrement are responsible for triggering severe allergic reactions in many people who are allergic to them.

Rats and mice are not as big a problem as some smaller pests because they are easier to see and hear; but that doesn't mean that they're easy to get rid of. Like insects, they can nest behind walls and inside boxes in attics and garages. Although they avoid humans, they will forage for food inside our homes, usually in kitchens and pantries - or anyplace else we store food. Not only do they present a hazard because of their well-known ability to carry and spread diseases, they also chew through electrical wiring inside walls, which makes their presence a fire hazard as well.

Spiders, like rats and mice, avoid people and make their homes in secluded areas of your house. Unlike rats and mice, they aren't known for spreading diseases but some varieties, like Black Widows and Brown Recluses are poisonous and their venom can cause everything from mild irritation to death. Most varieties of spiders in North Texas aren't deadly and are beneficial because they eat a lot of smaller pests.
