I have a small amount of mold...

Question
I have a small amount of mold (green) in my soil and would like to know how to correct it.  I have clay soil and have been working over the past two years to eliminate the clay soil from my flower bed.   Would mixing sand or some type of fertilizer in the soil help?  I really can't afford to go out and spend tons of money on produts that may or may not work.  Also, I would like to use an organic treatment if possible.
Help!

Answer
Hi Marilyn
compost is your answer or other types of organic matter. mix it in with your clay and your soil will be dynomite.
home depot or lowes have things like organic top soil in bags (this is compost) or peat moss and cow manure these are all organic amendments to help improve your soil. you mold is caused by o poor drainage hopefully this will correct the problem.  Good Luck Larry  :-)
