planting silver bismark


Question
I have a silver bismark with many fruits on the tree and many that have fallen. I want to know how do I plant these seeds.

Hi Pedro,
Thanx for your question.  When you say you have a silver bismark, may I assume you are talking about the palm tree Bismarckia nobilis?

If that's the case, the seed germinate easily in 6-8 weeks.  Soak in warm water for 2 days.  Plant about an inch deep in a deep pot.  As they germinate, remove them carefully from the pot to separate, large, deep pots.  The roots can be brittle and will grow quickly.  Keep everything warm.
